What is the definition of democratic socialist? How is it being used – and misused – by political campaigns? What is Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), and how does it relate to the “democratic socialist” label? Dr. Seth Masket, Political Science Professor at University of Denver, will lead this session. As a leading national and local expert on how political parties evolve, change, and handle factional infighting, Dr. Masket will speak on how the rise of democratic socialist candidates is reshaping the traditional Democratic Party infrastructure and nomination processes.
